MOSWC contest facilitates access for students and students to the capacity of office computing in accordance with international standards, while receiving the certificate of global value MOS issued by Microsoft. This is also a worldwide playground to bring Vietnamese students and students the opportunity to register on the international gold board. In Vietnam, MOSWC has become the largest international standard informatics competition taking place on a national scale.
Keeping up with the trend, Ba Ria Vung Tau University has been applying the MOS standard as the required IT skill for students of the whole school, thereby contributing to helping students have the opportunity to learn office skills.
In March 2017, at campus 2 of Ba Ria Vung Tau University, the School of Information Technology - Electrical - Electronics launched and successfully organized the school-level MOS contest in 2017. Out of 66 students from Institutes across the school who participated in the contest, the Contest Organizing Committee has selected the 5 best candidates for 3 contents of Microsoft Word 2013, Microsoft Excel 2013 and Microsoft PowerPoint 2013.
Especially, among 5 winners, Nguyen Van Non, a student of class DH14MT (belong to School of IT - Electrical - Electronics), won the award in all 3 exam contents including: first prize in Microsoft Excel 2013, third prize in Microsoft Word 2013 and third prize in Microsoft PowerPoint 2013. Nguyen Quang Hieu (class DH16LT) and Tran Le Ngan Giang (class DH14M1, School of Language - Culture - International Relations ) both won the third prize in Microsoft Word 2013. Dao Quynh Nhu won the second prize and Vu Hoang Lam Nhi won the third prize in the Microsoft Excel 2013, both students belong to class DH16LT (School of IT - Electrical - Electronics).
On the Sunday morning of April 16, 2017, the winning students will be on their way to attend the MOSWC 2017 national qualifier in Ho Chi Minh City. The School of IT - Electrical - Electronics would like to sincerely thank the school leadership for creating the best way to create a useful playground for students. Wishing the school-level MOS team a lot of achievements in the upcoming 2017 MOSWC national qualifier.
